Well I have been transferred to Vigo. It is right on the coast right above Portugal. I have mixed emotions. I am sad to leave so many people I love, the investigates, members, missionaries, but I am excited to start a new adventure.
I hear the weather is a lot like washington. And what do you know, it is cloudy and it has rained. It was kind of strange because the other Elders from the Madrid ward dropped me off at the metro this morning at 6:15 and I went alone from there. It is a 7 hour train ride all alone.
So A. came to stake conference. He said he is going to go down two cigarettes every day, and his goal is to be baptized on the 26 of October. When we meet with him on Wednesday he was at 15. And he had to run right after stake conference so we didn’t get to talk to him. We didn’t even get the chance to meet with M. So I don’t know how she is doing. So B. is still reading and everything. We meet with him Sunday, took pictures, and said goodbye. He said he still feels like he needs to prepare more. But at least now he is doing his part, so that is good. He will be baptized soon. V. is a member reference from someone that we have been teaching. She didn’t come to stake conference but she came to church before that, and we set a tentative date for the 26. So hopefully all goes well with that.
We meet with a Hindu the other day from Batan. He has read some of the Bible but it is a strange translation into Nepali, but he seemed interested. He gave us a picture of Mount Everest, so we put that up in the apartment. Saturday night was kind of crazy with it being that transfers come out that day. We were all at the church for family home evening. It was like 915 (so the schedule changed- instead of getting up at 7:30 it is 7:00, so we kind of have two daylight saving times) So we looked up the transferees, eight missionaries. It was kind of crazy. My companion is new and is from Herriman, Utah. There are actually two languages here in Vigo, Castilian and Gallego. The providence is called Galicia.
Well I hope everyone have a splendid week.

some missionaries here have visa waited in provo and it sounds a ton different. just find through members, no street contacting, members call you to go on splits. it would be a lot different. but i love it here. that will sure be strange when we use Facebook here. but i can see how it can be good. keep it touch with people here and help people back home. i dont know what that picture is but im sure its a good one :) thats exciting jj is leaving soon. he will be a great missionary. all my friends are gone now. hopefully they all make it into the choir. sounds like mission prep is going well. the first vision is important to know. Germany is no good. Spain is the best. they will win the wold cup and it will be cool because i will be here. thats cool grandpa is going to ordain you. i never even though about who would ordain you. but i would want you to ordain me when i become a high priest. that was a good comeback to Kevin. ill beat you next time in the marathon. well have a lovely week
love elder jason kinghorn.
