hello family
well had something happen yesterday. so yesterday as you probably know was palm Sunday. so there was a parade through the streets yesterday. so there were some people with huge cone pointy hats. looked kind of like some organization in the us. they looked weird. then there was a huge band, and a float of jesus, and a huge one of Mary. ill send some pictures next week. but anyhow, lucy is still doing great. she finished the book of mormon! so that is just amazing. only six weeks, and she is starting to read it again. and she is really going to change her work situation soon. she just doesnt have any time for anything. she cant be with her kids or husband too much, or time to take care of the house or anything. so she really wants to change her works situation. so hopefully soon. we havent even mentioned that we are not here forever for the two years. she doesnt know about transfers. so i dont know what she will do what that happens. but we watched President Monson’s talk about love. and she really liked it. she is totally ready. we also went over the baptismal interview questions and she didnt have any problem. she isnt drinking coffee at all anymore. so work is the only thing.
so the filipino family has dropped from off the face of the earth. they are never home when we pass by. so we will wait a few weeks and see what happens. so M. came to church. well an hour late, but at least she came. she has been reading a little bit so that is good. she just says little by little. but she thinks its a good thing. and we had a super good member help us in the lesson. and he helped a lot.
well we have had a plumber in our bathroom as of late. our toilet is leaking, and so he came to fix it. there was a mark in our neighbors ceiling. so we are doing well. so exciting thing, so real madrid is playing Bayern Munich soon and maybe we will go to the game, well see. well thats all folks
thats funny all of the grandparents now cant live without their iPads. haha. i didnt even know they were making a second one.
i remember when i was a youth and we had competitions about family history it was all just about how many names you got done. nothing else. and while it is good to get a lot of names done, doesnt necessarily mean you have success. in preach my gospel when it talks about success, not one of the points has to do with if the people accept you or not. and i guess just like in family history, sometimes you have to work more to get a name, but in the mission you dont want to baptize someone and have them go inactive one week later. we need them to be quality.
devon really is hitting the end. that is really weird. wonder how he is feeling. i have no clue. well probably like 4 ish here time, but i have no clue. and its good for once my companion will live in the same time zone, so thats good. lucy did name one of the cats after me. haha.
i do remember bruno getting them now. haha. thats funny you just watch the dogs all day. they probably like it though. have another dog friend, and they can just play ball all day. one guy here has a boarder collie, and he is always taking it for a walk, and the dogs looks crazy while going for the walk. they really cant be in a flat all day long.
well last week we went to a putting green, and today we went to play soccer, and had a barbecue with some other missionaries. thats to bad about jj. hopefully all will be alright. i wouldn't want to have to stay in the mission home for a while, and be out of the field. Ryan rios seems like a good worker. didnt he do an intern in Switzerland or something? conference is always good. and there are a ton of different themes. but it does seem like everyone though about staying firm was one of them. well have a wonderful week. love you
darn, thats to bad phil didnt play that well. maybe he will win the us open. two masters, thats pretty good. not just a one time thing. thats crazy. i wonder what the 20 year old was thinking. i would be so nervous, dont even think i could hit the ball. bubba seems like a good guy though. i like him. his golf swing isnt that convectional, but he seems like a family guy.
seems like you are traveling quite a bit more than before. Can’t remember to much what they eat but it doesnt sound like the best meal. I know they have unleavened bread. sounds yummy. pretty fun going around in go carts. too bad you couldn’t get the best overall time. but average is good. maybe you should go into f1 racing and be the next Stig or something. haha. dang 18th hole. always gets ya. better not to keep your score sometime. just play. and find out at the end.
that is like the first time you actually had some time to speak though. normally your have like 5 or ten minutes at the most. Elder Christopherson’s talk was really good, because it focused on the resurrection. so much better to focus on the resurrection than the death. one thing i like in the sacrament prayer, it says that we are willing to take his name upon us. the sacrament is the way we can have jesus with us throughout the week. well have a good week in Phoenix.
love elder kinghorn
