Hello family
Well one adventure of this week is that we took care of lucy´s cats. Because they we gone in Benidorm. So they asked us to take care of them. So there are five cats. And the three older ones were terrified of us. Im not sure why. But they were running all over the house to get away from us. But the two younger ones were out playing with us. So that was an adventure taking care of them.
Lucy never called for the work in the past week because she was out of town, but she is going to call today. So we will see what happens.
H. came to church (Rosa didn’t because she was working) but their child was yelling the whole time during sacrament meeting, so they left after the first hour, and i’m not sure how much he heard, because he was tending to his child most of the time. oh children.
C and MJ seem a lot better this week. One night they stayed up for a few hours talking, and they finally started communicating, so thats good. And they seemed alot happier.
So we visit these two old spaniards. He is a member patriarch and sealer, she is a member as well, but got offended so is inactive. Anyway we were talking about alma 42, and talking about the plan of salvation, and god, and at the end, Augustine (the patriarch and sealer) said we know that god lives, and loves us. And he said it in such a way, and his facial expression that you could not deny that he knew that god lives. Just shows the importance of bearing a powerful testimony, because it makes people want to know the same.
We’ve been meeting with this african from Guinea Ecuadorial (they speak Spanish there, i think its the only country in Africa) and she lives forever away. and the very edge of the area. She seems like she could progress, but she didn't come to church. Not sure why yet. But she has potential.
Some other new people that seem like they could progress, but couldn't come to church because he had to take care of him mom. Kind of funny, during one lesson we were watching the restoration video, and he was falling asleep, so we were making all sorts of noise to help him stay awake.
Well thats kind of funny you have missed three weeks in a row. But at least carrie knows that your not inactive. haha. Well we are going to try to make paella in our flat this week. See how that turns out. Some spaniards told us how to do it.
Thats fun all of your family is coming in this week. Too bad you couldn't have gone to France though. But i’m sure your excited to see aunt dena again. is pat coming up as well? Tanya's wedding was fun. But im sure its because all of our friends came as well. But some other ones aren't so fun. just sitting forever and waiting to leave. like a graduation.
Well that'll be cool to see all of the photos one day. photos are cool. sometimes its kind of long taking them, but later on they are fun to look at.
well thats quite a fun scare with the boat!! that would have been quite the shame if the boat sunk! maybe you should just turn in into a submarine!
didn't seem like Rory was having to good of a year. but a major makes the year pretty good. That's cool devon got to talk to someone over in Germany. So im guessing they spoke in german to each other right? Cool with what we can do with technology now. There’s not a ton of people who speak english here. There was one in Vigo that spoke english really well. A Colombian, who is the district president. There is some german member that is going to move here soon. I wonder if devon knows him. I think he is a Colombian though. And is living in Germany with his family.
Well thats too bad for devon. I definatly would not recommend doing a marathon without training. Not the wisest of decisions. Next one i will defiantly train more for.
Well we made a Spanish tortilla and it turned out well. SO that was good.
