hello family
well i got transferred. not quite sure why but oh well. things were going so well here. if it ain’t broke dont fix it. but oh well. i am here in alcorcon now. and im sure ill love it here as well. it was super hard to say good bye though. especially to the D’s. the filipino family. i started to cry as we said goodbye.
well the rest of the week was good though. we had super good lesson with nena and JA (a recent convert who could be a prophet) we went over the plan of salvation then Jose. just started talking. and we could have just given him a name tag right there. it was a super good lesson. so she came to a baptism Friday night. and she is talking a lot about her baptism. she is totally going to get baptized. she also came to church on sunday. so Nancy we havent been able to meet with her for a while. it has been raining, and no member has been able to let us use their apartment, but we finally met with her again. she isnt drinking coffee anymore!! only a little bit of tea. she couldn't come to church because of work. but next week she will come.
so it was kind of funny meeting with R., watch a dominican and his family. so we planned to watch the restoration video with them. so they put it in but they didnt have a remote to change the settings. so they couldn't change the language. so i was just like oh well we will just do something else. but they just started it. so we watched the restoration video in english with a bunch of dominicans. kind of funny. it still turned out well though.
I am in alcorcon. My companions name is Elder Larson. He was in the mtc the same time I was. I wasnt expected to be transferred at all. everything was going so well. but oh well. It’s what happens in the mission. Part of it could be because I was already in b5 (the same chapel) for 4 transfers and just came here with taylor because i already knew the area a tad.
so random thing happened. so we were at the train station. some hermanas came down and needed to give some other hermana something. and the train station is in our area. so we went and were just talking for a few minutes then some mtc missionaries came in. they were from Sevilla heading to the mtc. so they didnt even have a name tag. no phone no nothing. so it was actually good we randomly ran into them because the guy to pick them up was late and they had no way of communicating with them. so we just helped them sort things out.
the world cup is in Julyish i think. i dont know to much how Spain is doing. i assume well if they are ranked number one. did you know the person that died? i guess it'd be your great aunt. thats good you get to see aunt dena. there was a St. andrews golf towel she gave to us but we left it there last time. i did get a suit. its a lighter blue one. i like it lots. its something different. but its not like wow, what are you wearing. its good.
well that was about all for the week. have a good week.
love elder kinghorn
