Hello family
Everything is going really well here. We have meet with Paul a few times and he really understands things well. We went over the plan of salvation and at the beginning he was going to tell us some of his doubts, but he said no, you cant answer them. So we preceded talking about God’s plan. And we got to adversities in our life. And talking about the garden of eden, how we need opposition in all things. And that opposition can come from other people. And it just clicked for him.
We got a new chapel here in Aranjuez. Its still just a rented space but its so much bigger than the last one. The last one was tiny. We really didn't fit anymore. The last one had 4 tiny rooms, no kitchen and a tiny sacrament room. And that was it. This one is a lot bigger.
JP is doing well. We talked about fasting and he accepted to try and fast this week. He didn't come to church (we gave him a suit that was left in the apartment and he is waiting until his mom fixes it this week) Good news though, so Mel is going to come back here during Christmas so she will be a good friend for him here. She already was trying before she left to London. And It'll be a good connection again to her step mom L.
I think just cooking in a missionary flat is cursed. We normally we eat quite a lot with the members, so we really don't go to the store to buy groceries, but this week we didn't eat too much with them. So we tried making waffles. And they turned more into toasted tortilla chips. They stuck to the iron, and ripped in half, and then we were down to the only thing we had was rice and beans in our pantry. But they turned out all right. Good thing to learn I guess. Rice and beans.
We finally have heat in our flat as well. We were freezing and were trying to figure out the heat. Couldn't figure it out. We looked at the hot water heater, and it was on the sun, which should mean heat. And there is also a snow flake, but we never flipped it, because that would mean cooling you’d think. So we called the owner of the flat and all that he did was flip the switch to the snow flake, so now we have heat. So that is good.
We were walking down the street one day, and some guy called us over and asked if we spoke german. No, but english yes. So what he wanted was he was trying to buy a car from Germany, but he didn't speak german nor Spanish, and the german didn't speak Spanish, but english more or less. So we talked to the dude, set it all up so he could go buy the car from him. And I was thinking to see if we could teach him some day, but didn't, then he went his way and we went ours. Then a few days later we were walking, and I saw two mannequins and what I thought at first to be another mannequin, but then it started waving to us, then I though hey that looks like the car dude, so we started talking to him again, and this time we weren't about to let him get away twice after got put him in our path, so we started talking about the gospel, and he was interested, so he gave us his number and he wants to learn more.
I wont be email next Monday, so don’t freak out if i don’t send anything. Christmas will be pday, like last year. And i’ll email from Skype around 430 to 5 here time. Hope that works out there.
Sometimes people go to one more place for one transfer, but no as well. I really hope i don’t though. I wouldn't want to go to one other area for one transfer. I get along really well with Elder Mower. We are good friends, and we work well. So its really good. Yes we got a new chapel, its really good. Its still just a bajo, not a stand alone chapel, just a rented thing, but its really good. Our last chapel was really small, one of the smaller ones I've seen here.
Thats a good goal jj has. That’ funny they went over there to get help, then you just started talking. JJ and Kyle are funny. Seems like Kyle met a lot of Brazilians while he was there. And then you stayed up still three talking. They are fun. I remember sometimes we would do that then jj and i would go buy ben a jerry´s and eat it at the temple parking lot. So which car sounded the best in the end?
yeah, crutches are no fun. When i had them i got tired trying to go far and just walking pace.
Id say thats a good deal for the cars. Could drive around an aston martin. That'd be fun. How much are they.
We do not have a christmas tree. so that will be good. I still have the stocking though. It is taped to the wall. Just during our free time, if we eat with someone close to the church we still have a few minutes till we go out, so i learned it more or less.
I feel fine. Never really gotten to sick. Well once i did. Only small things. Its so bad when your comp gets sick though. I go crazy in the apartment when it happens. no fun.
Well it seems like the off sports of byu always do better. The ones no one cares about. Well at least its something. When all the lone peak players get to byu maybe they will be good.
Well thats good 3 over after 6 with those conditions. The ball never goes as far in the cold. And its just harder to play. I guess well see how good Kevin game is when I'm back. Well have to have a match.
We've been sharing the same message with every one. Juan 3 16. And the He Is the Gift video. It’s really good. We have cards and are handing them out to every one. We want to hand them all out before Christmas.
My comp is from crossroads Texas. I think its by Dallas. He's been out about a year. We get along really well though. And we work well so its really good. Well everything should be all right with the packages. As long as there is no tariff like last time.
I’m really grateful to be here for Christmas as well. Its awesome being a missionary during Christmas. And watching the video just makes me appreciate Christ more, and why we have Christmas, and what better way to celebrate it than by helping other receive this gift.
ill be calling arounds 430 to 5 here time. so i think 830 9 there time.
We'll love you all. have a lovely week.
love elder kinghorn
