Hello family
Well good news. So the twelve year old kid, Michael was baptized this Saturday!! So he wanted to get baptized, so we taught everything and hurried and organized everything, and we were hoping seeing him get baptized would make the rest of the family want to get baptized, and now the 21 year old daughter wants to get baptized, this Saturday. So thats really good. Some sad news though, I'm not sure if the parents are married. We will have to make sure this week.
But the baptism went really well. Lots of members came. We actually did it in a pool of one of the members, because we don’t have a font here, and we would have to go to madrid, like 90 minutes there and another 90 back. And for all of the members and transportation, we just did it at a pool. But it went really well. Michael really liked it. And really felt good afterwards. As did the whole family. They are a really cool family. The dad after every lesson asks us if we want fruit and juice in a funny way. I don’t know how to explain it, you just have to be there.
Then we meet this was cool argentine named hector. Just stopped him on the street one day, and he gave us his number. we had a lesson with him and he seemed really cool. Sounded really interested in the book of Mormon. And he understood the restoration really well. Ive been thinking about the restoration, and how to teach it, and i want to teach it as something logical. because it makes sense. God called prophets in the olden time, always. And we need a prophet, and the church has to be lead by prophets. The church was lost because there was no prophet, but now god has called another prophet. It just makes sense. And i want to teach it in a way like that. But while we do want them to understand, its more important to have the spirit. To bear testimony of the truths. And the lesson with Hector was really good. He said he would come to church on Sunday, but he never showed up. So we were walking around the streets and ran into him. He said he tried to call us to tell he he couldn't make it, but the number i wrote on the card was wrong. (and we only have his home number, thats why he didn't answer when we called him) but he said he had some problems with some neighbors and had to go to the police. but everything should be good now. Anyhow we are really excited for him. to continue teaching him.
So Ricardo, the young dude, we weren't able to meet with him, but we are going to meet with him Thursday.
Well, thats to bad the waffles weren't as good as in Belgium. They are still good though right? Waffles are good. But no place here sells waffle irons. We had one in one apartment, but it broke so we went looking for another one, but no one had one. Were the waffles in Belgium sweet, or just good waffles?
My comp has been in aranjuez for 6 months now, so it will be like seven by the end of the transfer.
well i think ill be watching conference where the temple is. At pavones is the metro stop. but I'm not sure yet. seems so weird. conference is so close. doesn't seem like it was that long ago, the last one happened.
Thats quite strange about no dogs in the lake. Maybe they don’t want dog hair getting in the lake haha. DOnt know how having a dog in the boat would affect anyone else on the lake. Its still fairly warm here to go boating. BUt pretty soon itll start cooling off. Where is the sales event? Are you going to go? Kind of funny they said you could go if you bring the boat. But at least you can go.
I dont think my english has really changed, but maybe it has, i dont know. Michael must be getting home in a month or so. That's weird. I remember when he left. and one day i was running around provo, and took a random route and ran into the mtc (didn't even know where it was, just randomly arrived there) And i ran into Michael. That was cool. Don´t think there are to many building in the ward that cant find room to put the plaques in.
Well thats a shame no Spanish tapas. Didn't ever see a Spanish restaurant in salt lake. We went to that one is Chicago that was good, but never in salt lake.
