hello family
this week has been good. so lucy is still doing great. so one of her cats just had kittens, and she wants to name one of them kinghorn, and another one Larsen. (my companions name) she is so funny. but we taught her about tithing and fasting. first we said you have to fast for 12 days, and pay 80 percent tithe, and she just started laughing. but she accepted the real amounts. she actually is going to fast soon. so hopefully that will be the last little thing so she will be able to come to church. she will probably finish the book of mormon by weeks end. so one thing that came out of our missionary lesson is I. is a member, she is like 16 or so. and she has a friend named C.. And the missionaries were teaching C. but for whatever lesson stopped teaching her. so that after the lesson she came up and said, hey can we meet Tuesday. so we did and it was a good lesson. she wants to get baptized, but not sure if her dad would give her permission. but she watched general conference with I. and her family (both of her parents are returned missionaries). C. is 17 and she is from Romania. we are going to meet with her again on Tuesday, and so we will see what happens from there.
So the filipino, family we havent been able to meet with them. they are just never home. but the other elders ran into them on the street and they were planning on coming to church, but we were there because of conference, so the elders told them that. so hopefully we will meet with them this week. and we got a book of mormon in tagalog and english now for them. so thats good.
M. is doing well as well. we had a good lesson on how she needs to read the book of mormon. and she really wants to take this seriously. not sure if she watched conference. we showed her how to do it online, so we will soon (because we had to travel like an hour and a half to watch it, we watched it where the temple is) and so M’s husband, we have never really meet with him. he doesnt do anything here. but we talked to him for a bit, and he is super nice. he made us some bread. so we will se if we can start meeting with him more and more.
conference was amazing. i love how we have a living prophet today. and that really is one of the main difference between our church and the rest. because christ church needs to have apostles and prophets. but it seemed like they talked some much about love, repentance and staying firm in where you are. they mentioned Heleman 5:12 like ten times the first session. When trials come and what may be we need to be founded on Christ. In all aspects in life. Our home life, business life, or anything, we need to do things as Christ would wherever we are.
so random note, did you know you could get the hickups in your sleep? yeah, i didnt either. but i guess you can. weird thing is i dont wake up. until my comp wakes me up, but then they stop. weird.

Thats too bad about Devon. Wonder why he was transferred and not his companion. to bad he got moved with only a few weeks left. im sure he will grow to love the people there as well. Well we found Merci through Ma, a filipino member in b5. We used to visit her when i was with Elder de los Santos, the Peruvian, but then we could never find her when my new companion arrived. so i saw her at church, and we started visiting her weekly, and now a few people are baptized because of her. Arthur, and merci now. so thats cool. Mariam invited us to a park, for lunch, with other filipino members, and merci and her family were there, and from there we started teaching them.
well we are teaching C., but ill tell you about her later. from a member reference thats cool you got to go to conference. maybe ill go someday. i guess weve been to the first presidency christmas devotional. which is good as well. i havent seen Elder Christoferson’s. we might watch the last session for district meeting. well one of the elders in the photo is elder cousins, an old companion, and the other, well vanyalina says we look alike. i dont see it. but vanyalina says you are really cool, and that she gets along with you alot.
i saw sister Barrett. in the first session i think. haha, well thats good your cleaning. our flat isnt to bad. its pretty small so its easy to keep clean. are you stressed about devon coming home soon. how do you feel about that? and how does devon feel? thats good bruno feels better. he sure does like the sun. just go there and sit in it. your fudge it pretty good. i didnt know you made up the recipe. its better than about any other fudge I've had. you are a talented cook though. i know everyone says that about their mom

i havent seen elder christophersons. sense it was 10 at night here when the session started. we might watch it for district meeting though. but i dont understand why some people think were not christians. they think we worship Joseph smith, or moroni. but if you just look at the name of the church it says everything. guess that why Elder Ballard said we need to identify us as the church of jesus christ of later day saints.
well as you could imagine not to many people talk about golf here, its all soccer and real madrid. but spanish golf is historically pretty good. hey and real madrid is playing a german team in the champions league. so well see who wins. well guess you dont quite have the same freedom as you did at sage creek anymore. where are you exactly going, and for how long? will you have to travel out of the country ever? I've finally shedded my coat. many not for good, but at least for now. no, our president did not allow us to travel the thousands of miles to salt lake. maybe in October though. but it was still just the same here, and in our house. it was good. well have a good week.
