Hello everybody.
Well something quite unexpected happened yesterday. So to rewind a few months we were meeting with this lady named Mirella. Super nice lady. But very evangelist. And she was a jehovas witness for like 11 years before that. And now she is evangelist. Anyhow anytime we meet with her she always brought the discussion back to the trinity. How they are one person. So we just told her to read the book of mormon, and thats how you can know all of these things. And we just left it at that. So a few days ago we got a reference form this guy named Carlos. And we set up a lesson for yesterday. So we were walking to the lesson, and it was the same place we always met mirella. At a park. So we sat down and started talking to Carlos. Then a few minutes later mirella walks up. And we were like hola, and told Carlos, oh this is someone we know. Then she sits down and puts her arm around him, and was like, ya, that is our kid ( the kind was always running around the park during the lessons) then it was like oh, they are married. So somehow we found Mirella again without even trying. So like old times they brought it back to the trinity. And we just talked how we have a prophet today, and thats how we know. And just invited them to read in the book. Carlos seems more receptive. But mirella kept flipping to verse after verse and saying look, they are one person. Then a drunk dude named Juan comes over. HE said he believes, but not in the bible. So he is talking to us. It was kind of funny, two evangelist and two mormon missionaries teaching together this dude. WEll actually mirella talked the most to the dude. Kind of funny though. He said he wants to learn more, who knows if he does. He gave us his number. So we will see. It was just a really weird thing. I was like is this a dream. Really strange how it all happened.
Well L. is still well. She said if J. doesnt start looking for a job, then they are going to move to brazil. J would go with them, but she doesnt want to continue living like this. And she would move in a few months. And it would be better for her. Work less, dedicate more time to the church, because she would be a member who helps out a ton in the church. And we finally told her about transfers. She asked what we were doing for christmas, then we decided to finally tell her. Instead of waiting for transfers to come. She seemed kind of sad.
We met with some new people last week, so well see what happens with them. So one guy, he kind of had a sad face on, and we were probably never going to talk with him, just walk right past him. But he decided to stop us, and he wanted to learn more. His name is victor, and we gave him a book of mormon, and will meet with him more this week. Just a lesson to never judge people. We always pray for god to put people in our path, and he does, we are just too stupid to talk to the people he puts in our path.
Ate lots of rice and eggs last week. Kind of sick of eggs. WE didnt have anytime to shop last week, so thats all we ate.
Well it was crazy saturday night when Real Madrid won. The streets were deserted. Like nobody. Then when we went in for the night, and someone scored the whole city erupted. And there were some crazy africans across the street we could see in the window. Just then whole entire city was watching the game. Just madness. BYU needs more fans like these
well jamon in ham, but spanish jamon is the pig leg. with the bone and hoof and everything. I've had some really good tortilla here. Ill have to get good at that.
Its never quite warm enough for boating down there. Maybe next time you go it will be. Well last week it was kind of cold. We had our coats some days. but its warming up again, and then the hot summer will come.
Well we are going to the mall again, but i think next week we are going to aranjuez. they say its a cool looking city.
Looks like the schnitzel turned out quite well. Well ill try to learn how to make some good spanish food, like half the time we eat with someone, its south american food. So maybe itll be a mix of both.
The streets were quite crazy when real madrid won. Lots of screaming in the streets. we were in bed with all of the screaming going on. Guess some guy made a header with two minutes left to force over time, then real madrid scored three more.
Well, sounds like quite the crazy golfing adventure. Kind of funny, after all of that, all you get is a three way tie. Sounds like Kevin is better than devon, would that be right? Lots of crazy luck in golf, sometimes good or bad, but its all part of the fun of the game. Remember when i hit the sprinkler head near the green with a chip, then it went in? So funny thing, so we walked into a lesson, and guess what was on the tv? Golf. it was the very end, a spaniard Miguel angel Jimenez made a putt to go into a playoff, but then we turned off the tv. So i dont know what happened. Kind of funny though, no one ever talks about golf here, and there it was, on the tv. haha.
