hello family
Nancy is getting baptized!!!!! we set a date for the 15th of February. we left her with 2 nephi 31 and she read it, took notes, and had good questions. like pretty deep questions. she wasnt able to come to church, but she said next week for sure. she is so prepared. we just need to help her get to know a few more members. but she always reeds. she read something about the book of moses in the introductions, or something. so we had to explain that to her. but it all went well. super excited for her. so we meet with a new investigator named nena. she lived in Gainesville florida actually so florida gators. she speaks good english. anyhow we meet with her in front of the mall. it was funny during the phone all to set up the appointment we were just talking in spanish then she just said the big mall. so that is what we all it with her now. so she lived in Barcelona before. and the people who lived there before left a book of mormon in the apartment. but when she moved she lost it. so when we gave it to her again she was so excited. said it was a sign from god. she couldn't come to church. we only invited her saturday, but said next week for sure. so we are excited for her as well. so Jacquelyn came to church!! and they read! she says she knows it is all true, but she has to get married first. but she has a testimony of everything, she is so nice. she always feeds us, and is always so excited when we come it. so we will see what happens. she will be baptized some day. the philipino family is going well. we havent been able to talk much about baptism. we want the whole family there, and they havent all been there last week. so hopefully this week. oh and president looked at my knee. he said all is good. nothing torn. so thats good. so there is a man, named jose antonio. he is from Spain. and is a recent convert. he is so cool. some of the missionaries call him the future prophet. when we teach him its more like he is teaching us. he is so cool. well that is about all for the week.
my companion is good. he isnt too talkative but we get along fine. our piso is smallish. there is no shower holder, so you hold the head, and if you are the fourth one to shower its cold. none of the kitchens here are too big, and its always a pain. only one person at a time. sometimes they are in a different room, so you are separated from everyone. big kitchens are good. only like two other philipinos other than Ron and rod. we played some soccer today with other missionaries and some members.
im planning on buying a suit. we just havent had time on a pday yet. but i will soon. i think i may have gotten the package back. hopefully it will come this week. we will see. thats good with bruno. he does get up a ton during the night. start in my bed, go to yours, then to the offie. lots of changes. thats good he is more energetic. i love bruno. and sounds like you are a lot like bruno as well. haha. not much sleep. guess dogs really do reflect the family.
so i think my package is coming from paris to here now. i got a letter and i called a number and it was just sitting in paris. so it should be coming here now. could you make sure
did you like the turron? i can just get the bag at a grocery store here. haha. thats good you found it. you definatly have to try chocolate with churros. i think you might die of happiness. the chocolate i sent is from valor. i think its just in Spain. its not thick like it is here, but it is still good.
there is a part on the district where a hermana says just come to church, in funny way. kind of how i feel. just come to church. oh well. just like it says in field of dreams, if you build it they will come. just keep trudging along and they will come. the winter is really good in St. George. just nice light jackets and nice weather. sounds like quite the match with Poul. drive for show putt for dough. drive means nothing if you dont have the short game. i guess youll only have what like 14 drives over 18 holes, but 36 short game shots. assuming par. it was lots of fun going to Torrey Pines. actually there is a golf course here. its called centro nacional de golf. not sure if its any good, or how much but its close. well byu basketball and football blew up this year. good seasons to miss. on the bright side Real Madrid is only one point behind Barcelona and Atletico madrid. and real plays Atletico on sunday. speaking of which could you get a schedule of the games. we are allowed to go to one and we want to go this season. that would be exciting. no. its all about soccer. real and Atletico play the same day. that is a big game. tied number one versus well number three. but if real wins they will be first, well depending on what Barcelona does.
im very grateful for all the support you guys have given me. and how strong our family is. you see broken up families here, and you really see how much god wants us to be in families, with the gospel. well have a good week
