November 25, 2013 The British Are Coming

well transfers are today and i am staying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  so my companions name quense or something like that and it looks a lot like ourense.  so when the district leader called (who is in ourense) said that i was going to ourense.  i wasn’t to happy.  i really wanted to stay.  but then we found out like ten minutes later that i was going to stay.  so then i was relieved and happy.  so im losing my last companion which is sad.  we got along really well.  but he is still staying in Vigo.  just with a different companion.  so we will still live in the same piso.  and my companion is british.  so all the top gear watching will pay off and my british accent will be supurb.  well this week has been a bit hectic.  so elder groves got a call wednesday that he was going to be transferred to madrid that night.  so he left and elder johnson came with us  so we were in a trio trying to maintain two areas.  so that was a bit hectic.  time in the two companionships.  but it was good.  so N. we have decided to take a break from baptism.  so we talked about the importance of the scriptures.  and she agreed with everything like normal.  we talked about 2 nephi 19 23 or something.  about applying the scriptures in our lives.  then maybe next week we will try to bring up baptism.  maybe go over the interview questions and help her realize that she is ready.  i don’t know.  so remember that polish lady i told you about a few weeks ago.  well it is hard to get a hold of her because her number is a polish number.  so we cant call it.  so we have been trying to have the office elders call her with the office phone because they can call out of area, but they always forget or something.  so we will just forget them and go to a locotoria (where i am now with computers and phones) and call her that way and set up something.  so we have had a lot of fails this week so we were contacting.  but we found a lot of people that we are going to meet with this week.  so we translated at church again.  so that was fun.  we are becoming regulars with all of the youth.  we have attended the young womens class both week so we are reciting the young womens theme.  by the end of the transfer ill have it memorized in spanish.  hope everyone has a good thanksgiving

transfers were this week.  well we both stayed but elder dougher (my companion) went with elder johnson.  his companion left.  so i stayed as well and am getting an english companion.  the british are coming the british are coming.  maybe all that top gear accent practice might actually pay off.  haha.  so we will still live in the same piso and see eachoter every day but not be companions.  but im sure my new companion will be nice.  so spain is kind of odd in a sence.  so galicia (where i am) has a lot of celtic influence.  so you actually see bagpipes and some people want to be their own country.  as does cataluna (barcelona area)  and then the south is so much different than the north.  the south is a lot more typical spain.  flamenco, arib influence and everything.  so spain is like 3 or 4 countiries.  oh and pais vasco also wants to be their own.  so its kind of a lot of differences.  but its super cool.  so many different things so close.  N. is 44.  thats cool about brendon.  guess he grew a lot on his mission.  which you can only help people to the level you are at, so on the mission you have to become more converted as well.  thats funny about brandon hallbrock.  dad and him have always talked about byu.  critiquing the broadcasters is always a good time. we are going to make the nutella brad pudding for maysa (ysabel  means moma ysabel) on wednesday because its her birthday.  so hope it turns out well.   the elder just threw up right on his bowl.  music would be nice.  they have dvd players in all of the pisos to watch the district.  but you can also play music on them.  or like a flash drive works as well.  well only for some though.  the shoes did arrive today.  thank you.  they will come in handy for sure.  no more rice in the shoes.  haha.  thats a way cool story.  son teaching the dads convert.  the lord does lead us to people.  have a good thanksgiving   oh and we might be eating with janet the filipino.  well have a good week.  and eat a lot.
cherio
