Hello family
Well transfers came and im staying!!! Im excited. But sadly my comp left. But thats life. It was kind of sad yesterday though, he was saying goodbye to everyone. It was pretty hard on L. She started crying.
But she is still doing well. Reading and trying to go to church. Hopefully this week she will be able to go.
Well one of the adventures this week. We were walking back to the flat for lunch one day, and we saw a catholic priest. And we kind of wanted to talk to him, and since it was during lunch we were like why not. So we turned around and chased him for a bit. I think he knew we were following him. But we caught up and just started talking. He kept telling us how we need to return to the trunk. How all of the other churches have branched off. How with the protestant movement was bad, because people went away from the truth. And one stupid thing, he kept saying how if we read the words of the santos padres from the 3rd and 4th century we would see that the closest church to their writings was the catholic. And i was just thinking well if we read the words of christ in the bible, not the words of some man during the apostasy we would see that the church of jesus christ of later day saints is the same as the words of Christ in the bible. Anyhow he didn't want to change, but it was a fun experience.
Well H. has been doing really well. R. hasn't been there during the lessons, but he wants to learn lots. He knows what he needs to do, and he does it, well sometimes. Sometimes i think he just reads the chapter heading and tells us that. But i guess thats better than nothing. But he came to church. So that was good.
So we had a pretty strong lesson with MJ and C on Sunday when my comp was saying goodbye. So we hadn't even started yet, and C says, I've been thinking, and ill decide this week if i want to continue going to church or not. And that their relationship, he and MJ, has been going pretty bad lately. And that right now they wouldn't get married. So we just had a strong lesson about christ. We read the scripture in Mathew of take my yoke upon you, and just talked about how if we come unto Christ our lives and trials will be lifted. And we also read the scripture in Alma 7 about the atonement. They will keep trying. Just satan is annoying. Just doesn’t want families to be happy. And thats why we need the gospel, because if were not centered on christ, our families will ultimately fail, but with christ and god, they can be eternal.
We we have just been meeting with some new people but can never meet with them regularly. Good lessons, and good people as well. But people are out there.
Thats funny about kristi. 1030 is not late at all. Kind of funny here in Spain we are going to bed at 11 30 in stead of 10 30 which is normal. So i still would be used to going to bed early even after the mission. Thats to bad about Kyle. Hopefully he will get better. He is a good kid. I wouldn't want to have to go home early because of health reasons. But thats good jj is on track to go back out. His cousin that was serving here as well is going home tomorrow.
Yes sadly Spain has lost again and is already out. Cant win them all i guess. They were on a good run though. Well guess ill just root for the us though. They seem to be off to a good start with a win. Maybe itll be the first time. Theres a first for everything. Seems like soccer is growing a lot. Well sure the next two majors are happy. Im sure lots of people tune in if tiger is in the lead. Sure makes for a better heading when he is in it.
Sounds like you had a good time with grandma and grandpa. Fishing isn't my favorite thing, but its better when you actually catch something. Sounds like some deep sea fishing can be pretty intense though. Fighting the fish for a few hours. So did you take the fish home to eat it then? Yeah, that was to bad the tamales were gone. Maybe we will be lucky sometime.
Bruno sure is funny with cats. If they couldn't climb up a tree he would have killed the Rire´s cat once. The devil cat that nobody likes.
well its seems like every week you write you are on a different business trip. Must be fun haha. Well you signed up for it though. ahha. Not as much golfing time though. Well maybe if you step up your game, you can try to qualify for the British open soon. haha.
Could you even sign up for the relay with five people? That means someone would be running a bit more. You should take all of Ragnar hill and the segment after that. That would be a good time.
Yeah, i dont know why people dont want this in their lifes. Just do it, and youll life, and your eternity will improve. But we have agency, and have to decide for ourselves if we want it. And it wont be easy, but we can do it. I guess people just are afraid of change, and just aren't sure if it can help them.
