Hello everybody.
Well here i am in aranjuez. Its been a good week.
Well we are teaching one really cool family. They started teaching them right before i got there. There is a mom and dad named Monika and Pablo, and two kids. A daughter thats 21 years old named Haidee and a 12 years old son named Michael. The son wants to get baptized, but the other ones want to wait. They are not against it they just want to wait a bit longer. But they all came to church on Sunday, and we’ve gotten them to start reading every day as a family. so thats really good. They'll get baptized soon. They are all really nice. They are from ecuador. They are understanding everything pretty well.
Let me tell you what, watermelon is really good if you are thirsty. They normally give us some watermelon at the end and its a lot of water in there. Guess they don’t call it that for nothing. Then on Sunday we went to eat with the branch president, and he invited them over as well. So that was really good. They got to know him a bit more.
So other then them, we have been trying to find people. So on my second day here we contacted this young Spanish guy. Probably is about 20 years old or so. His name is R. He gave us his number really quick and they we both went our ways. He didn`t really have any time. But I called him a few days later, he said to meet Friday. So we meet with him Friday, and he's a pretty cool kid. He has actually read the bible all the way though, but does really believe in god, he believes in something though. It was a good lesson though. Just answering his concerns, we talked about the restoration, and the book of mormon. So we told him to read 3 Nhe'sephi 11 on his time, but he just read it right there, so then we said well you can start from the beginning so then he read the introduction right there, so i wont be surprised if he's finished the book in a few weeks. I’m just afraid he will read it just to read it, like a novel, not think about it, and pray. So we will see.
So on Saturday we went to see this half less active family. They were pretty cool. gave us dinner and we talked for a while. The only problem is the buses that pass by them, come by every two hours. so thats kind of a problem. Because they live outside Aranjuez. They have a puppy there, he is pretty wild. Not anything like bruno though. So i said the closing prayer, and i couldn't remember the girls name. I can now even, but its something like Romina. Or something like that. So i said Romania. like the country. And the prayer kind of went downhill from there. It was funny.
My birthday was a good day. Another member also threw a party for me. So was leaving for work for a few weeks, so she did it early as well. But before transfers came out. That was nice. So almost feel like my birthday still happened in Alcorcon. But thats good, because i really loved that place. Well people always say how young you and dad look in pictures, so dont feel old.
Well the teaching pool isn't too big, we are trying to find people.
Grandma is funny. I don’t know why she never wants to record stories. She has a ton of really cool stories. And the descendants are going to want to know them. But thats funny she said no more, then continues. Thats grandma for you. But she will always talk, so I'm sure you'll be able to record a lot.
So Lucho lives in alcorcon. I taught him a few times, but the other elders mainly taught him. But we did alot of things together. Us four missionaries and him. He was just one of us. It was sad saying goodbye to him as well.
Well happy anniversary on Friday. Thats a lot of happy years, and an eternity more to come. St George is always nice. Lots of good memories there. I’m glad you and dad have made family a priority. Lots of people dont, and you see the negative affects of it.
well have a good week, and good time in St. George.
Love ya
Love Elder Kinghorn
